Autumnal Equinox
It is officially spooky season ~ autumn ~ pumpkin spice season ~ leaf peeper season ~ the best time of year. With the Autumnal Equinox, we revel in a moment of stillness and equilibrium. Day and night are equal in length and Earth is balanced on its axis. Here we can allow our past and our future to merge at the present moment in harmony. As summer comes to a close and our next adventures start to take form, we thought it was the perfect time to share some photos and a quick update on our Lil' Home and its inhabitants.
We are trying to find equilibrium as we navigate the transition into a nomadic lifestyle. Not only will we be moving our physical location, but our employment will ebb and flow with the seasons, taking us to new locations with changing schedules. Chuck is traveling with NOLS in remote locations for 30+ days at a time. Trisha continues to settle back into the seasonal flux of working as both an RN and with NOLS. As our journey continues, this will leave us more time for adventure and exploration together and individually.
This summer, Trisha spent time working as a resident nurse at a summer camp in Maine. Chuck spent most of July/August in the Pacific Northwest leading a sea kayaking NOLS course. We got to spend some time together in August and September, including a lovely week at Acadia National Park (though technically this was work for Chuck) - enjoying some of our favorite parts of Maine before heading out for the winter. Stay tuned for news on our next adventure on the West Coast!
Great pictures, when you have them all together looks like you both had a very busy summer! Keep on -- loving life!
